In the intercultural spread, the distortion of the dimension of the history of film and television media can be explained through the use of post-colonial theory in the context of comparative literature and its deep-seated reasons through symptomatic reading. We should be wary of the distortion of Chinese history posed by the post-colonial discourse hegemony and raise the awareness of the people of using the platform of film and television to publicize the country’s image.
