幼儿教育是一个人教育与发展的重要而特殊的阶段。“重要”指的是它是一个人发展的奠基时期,许多重要能力、个性品质在这个时期形成基本特点“;特殊”指的是这个阶段是儿童身心发展从最初的不定型到基本定型,转而可以开始按社会需求来学习并获得发展的过渡时期。幼儿教育在我国整个教育体系中的地位和作用,犹如农业在我国整个国民经济体系中的地位和作用。幼儿教育如果出现偏差,则整个教育体系是不可能取得预期的效果的。“以人为本”的观念已经深入人心,但我国的教育、特别是幼儿教育由于受到一些因素的影响出现了一些偏差,使得儿童问题或独生子女问题越来越突出。回归幼儿教育的本身,是有利于幼儿教育的健康有序发展的。
