清朝初年旨在推翻清朝统治、恢复明朝的政治活动被称之为“复明运动”，它是南明史研究的一个重要问题。对于“复明运动”的性质，学术界存在着不同的看法。通过对“复明运动”个案的研究，“复明运动”应是民族矛盾激化的产物；它是清初民族斗争的一个组成部分；它的参加者不仅有明朝的宗室、文武官员，还有广泛的社会基础；它的目的是为恢复汉族的衣冠文物制度。
The early Qing dynasty aimed at overthrowing the rule of the Qing Dynasty and restoring the political activities of the Ming Dynasty was called “the Reincarnation Movement.” It is an important issue in the study of history of the South Ming Dynasty. There are different views in academia regarding the nature of the “Twilight Movement.” Through the study of “Fuming Movement” cases, “Fuming Movement” should be the product of the intensification of ethnic conflicts; it is an integral part of the national struggles in the early Qing Dynasty; its participants not only had the Ming court, civil and military officials, but also extensive Social basis; its purpose is to restore the Han dynasty’s cultural relics system.
