As soon as I embarked on the road to legal studies, I was chosen by accident. In July 1975, I finished my high school in a commune-run secondary school in Yongchun Mountain, Fujian Province. Since the background of the family is not “red,” it is not possible to have the luxury of going to university. The greatest wish is to be a worker in the mine where parents work. After the resumption of the nationwide college entrance examination in 1978, I took Xiamen University with excellent results and chose at that time
