目前国内的旅行社,除了国旅、青旅等品牌的旅行社受到广大消费者的普遍认可以外,几乎没有任何一家中小型旅行社成为消费者心目中理想的旅行社。这取决于旅行社的规模,中小型旅行社的生产和经营能力不能满足所有目标市场,如果中小型旅行社只针对旅游目标市场中的几个或者一个目标市场生产旅游产品,是否能够改变中小型旅行社的经营现状。目前,老年人旅游市场越来越受到重视。从日益扩大的老年人旅游市场来看,我国目前还几乎没有专门从事老年旅游的旅行社和旅游服务组织。可见,开发老年人旅游市场,为老年人旅游提供专门的服务,是旅游企业谋求发展的新机遇。
