Recently, the UN Global Compact released the 2013 Global Corporate Sustainability report, which pointed out that supply chain management has become a major obstacle to the sustainable development of enterprises. At the same time, the report presents three major findings in terms of data statistics, including the size of the enterprise and its impact on the sustainability of operations. It is understood that nearly 2,000 enterprises from 113 countries participated in the survey. The Global Compact was formally launched by the United Nations in 2000 to promote business operations and comply with 10 universal responsibilities in respect of human rights, labor protection, the environment and anti-corruption. At present, more than 8,000 enterprises in 145 countries have volunteered to join the organization.
