山桔属茴香科、山桔属,枝细小,叶面深绿色,有光泽,初夏开小白花。花后结球形果。属于岭南盆景常见排行较后的树种。由于发芽、栽培成活缓慢,不好造型,再加上有刺,不大受盆景爱好者推崇,在盆景展览场所甚少见其踪迹。可以说是稀疏晨星。然而,近年来我走过岭南地区一些园林及盆景展览场所,发现此树种悄悄增多,而且有的还属于大中形的,看来该树种的身价有攀高和走俏的趋势。 Mountain orange fennel, mountain genus, small branches, dark green leaves, shiny, early summer open white flowers.
