On April 16, 1999, the subject of “Research on the Development Direction of Agricultural Machinery” presided over by Professor Wang Xujian from the Agricultural Machinery Research Institute passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal organized by the Corps Science and Technology Commission in Urumqi. This issue is a soft science project set up by the Corps of Science and Technology Commission. In less than a year, the research group studied the documents of the State Science and Technology Commission on policies and guidelines for the development of agriculture and consulted the major agricultural mechanization departments both at home and abroad.
