Animal experiments found that high temperature can aggravate cerebral ischemia. Hypothermia improves cerebral ischemia, but it is unknown whether these findings are applicable to stroke patients, so the authors investigated the relationship between body temperature and the severity and outcome of stroke at admission to acute stroke patients. Subjects and Methods 390 cases of stroke ≤ 6h (average 2.4h) were admitted to hospital. Stroke severity was assessed using the Scandinavian Stroke Rating Scale (a total score of 0-58). Determine infarct size with CT. Mortality was calculated by the number of deaths during hospitalization. Multiple logarithmic and linear regression analysis of related factors and potential predictors, including age, gender, severity of stroke at admission, body temperature, infection, whiteness
