Determination of trace tantalum, commonly used alkaline dye extraction spectrophotometry, but organic solvents pollute the environment, adverse health, it is necessary to find an effective method for the determination of aqueous trace photometric tantalum. Liu Xinchen et al. Used 5-Br-PADAP to determine tantalum, but did not study the reaction mechanism in depth, and niobium should be separated from the paper color layer. The author studied in detail the reaction conditions of the system. The experiments were carried out with different auxiliary complexing agents and surfactants in 0.5MH 2 SO 4 solution. The effects of tartaric acid (Tar) as auxiliary complexing agent, sodium dodecyl sulfate
