1997年,对于香港来说是极具历史意义的年份,正是这一年,自幼喜欢美术设计的香港青年林子侨放弃了原本的广告专业,开始接触并投身于电影美术设计。在参加了香港电影美术学会短期的专业培训之后,他正式踏入这一行业。那时正是香港电影的低谷时期,行业新晋人员较少,借此他获得了很大的学习实践空间。多年来,林子侨参与了50多部影片的美术设计,其中与奚仲文合作的《大上海》,获得了第32届香港电影金像奖最佳美术指导奖项和第7届亚洲电影大奖最佳美术指导提名。
In 1997, it was a very historic year for Hong Kong. It was this very year when Hong Kong youth Lin Zi-kiu, an artist who had loved art and design since childhood, abandoned his original advertising career and started to engage with the art of film design. After attending the short-term professional training of the Hong Kong Film Academy, he officially entered the industry. At that time, it was the trough period of Hong Kong films that there were fewer new recruits in the industry so that he gained a lot of learning and practicing space. Over the years, Lin Zhaolian has participated in the design of more than 50 films. Among them, “Da Shang Hai,” in cooperation with Xi Zhongwen, won the 32nd Hong Kong Film Awards for Best Art Direction and the 7th Asian Film Awards for Best Art Guide the nomination.
