语言词汇是最明显的承载文化信息、反映人类社会生活的工具。英汉词汇的文化内涵极为丰富,从语言学和跨文化交际学的角度上来说,它的产生是因为每一种语言都有它自身所特有的语言体系与建构,每一个民族都有其自己的生活习惯、思维方式、语言心理、行为规范、价值观念和文化传统,两种语言之间的语义和文化的对等是极为少见的。任何一门语言的教学都不能脱离语言蕴含的文化内涵而简单地讲语言形式。在英语教学中如果想提高学生对于英语语言掌握的综合素质就直该应进行跨文化教学,从而提高教学水平和学生英语学习的兴趣。
Language vocabulary is the most obvious tool to carry cultural information and reflect the life of human beings. English-Chinese vocabulary is extremely rich in cultural connotations. From the perspective of linguistics and intercultural communication, it arises because each language has its own unique language system and construction, and each nation has its own Lifestyles, ways of thinking, language psychology, codes of conduct, values and cultural traditions, semantic and cultural equivalence between the two languages are extremely rare. Teaching in any language can not simply speak the language form without the cultural connotation of language. If you want to improve the overall quality of students ’mastery of English language in English teaching, cross-cultural teaching should be carried out to improve the teaching level and students’ interest in English learning.
