Well-known economist Hu Angang recently published a book for China Economic Publishing House, “Progressive Revolution” preface, he quoted the author as saying that China’s reform is a “progressive” revolution. The reforms and opening up that began in 1978 have fundamentally changed all aspects of Chinese society and indisputably include the annals of world modernization. According to estimates by the World Bank, it took Britain 58 years (1780-1838) to double its per capita income in the early stages of industrialization; 47 years (1839-1883) in the United States; 34 years (1885-1915) in Japan, ; Brazil spent 18 years (1961-1979); Korea spent 11 years (1966-1977); China only spent 10 years
