2005年1月,由《公路运输文摘》杂志(月刊)改刊更名而来,承载着中国公路运输四十一年历史的《运输经理世界》杂志(月刊)出版了第一期。从此,在中国新兴商业传媒的天空中又多了一个声音：为中国道路运输业的崛起,为中国运输经理人的成长! 2005年11月,在历经十个月的商业化运作试验之后,《运输经理世界》杂志(月刊)再度改版,以商业运输为经,以汽车运输为纬,进一步切入客运与旅游客运,货运与物流、城市公交与出租等行业的企业经营与管理基本面,向完全意义的商业财经杂志转型。一年之间,两度变身,更替不可谓不大。然而,一年来我们留下的足迹可以作证：我们的心不变,我们打造中国道路运输业经典报道的渴望和理想一以贯之。——本刊编辑部
In January 2005, the first issue of Transport Manager World magazine (monthly magazine), bearing the 41-year history of road transport in China, was renamed from the revised edition of Road Transport Digest magazine (monthly). From then on, there was another voice in the sky of China’s emerging commercial media: the rise of China’s road transport industry and the growth of China’s transport managers! In November 2005, after a ten-month trial of commercial operation, Transport Manager World "magazine (monthly) has been revised again to commercial transport as the vehicle transport as the latitude, and further cut into the passenger and passenger transport, freight and logistics, urban public transport and rental business management and fundamentals of the business to the full Meaning of the commercial and financial magazine transformation.
