This paper introduces thyristor switched capacitor (TSC) device which is suitable for decentralized reactive power compensation in low voltage (400V) distribution network. It detects the voltage zero crossing of the system as the trigger condition of thyristor. For reactive power detection, instantaneous reactive power detection , Improve the real-time reactive compensation device; at the same time when the capacitor surge current suppression measures taken to ensure that the capacitor is not breakdown at the same time, improve system stability.
