素质教育背景下的小学生对游戏都有一种向往和喜爱的心理,因此——游戏教学,这也是教学过程中学生们所热爱并且具有教学效率的一种学习方式。所谓游戏教学,就是通过丰富多彩、学生喜闻乐见的游戏活动,迅速培养孩子们的英语学习兴趣,并使这种浓厚的兴趣长久地保持下去,形成外语学习中有利的非智力因素。这样不仅能够使得学生通过游戏的方式来舒缓在小学英语学习中的紧张情绪,而且能营造一种令人愉快和放松的状态,对小学生英语教学起到重要的推动作用。作为素质教育前线的小学英语教师,不仅要理解运用游戏方式进行教学的重要性以及该注意的事项,还要在日常教学过程中应用好这一教学方式,让学生能够在轻松愉快的做游戏的同时培养学习英语的兴趣,提高英语学习能力。
