By examining the corpus of written Chinese business English students, this paper explores their use of verb rules and irregular forms in business English writing and the factors that influence the use of verb rules and irregularities in their business English. The results show that Chinese students generally use verb irregular forms better than regular forms in business English writing, which accords with the double-mechanism theory. Chinese students did not use verb past tense and past participle regular forms and irregular forms Significantly different from their use of verb rules and irregular forms mainly reflected in the use of the verb tense forms: meaning, tagging and word frequency will have some impact on the use of verb rules and irregular forms.
