In the background of political turmoil and ethnic conflicts in Northern Ireland, the poet of contemporary poet Malden explores the space imagination rooted in the traditional Irish culture and reflects upon the longing for the political future of the Irish nation. This article examines the difference between the space idea developed by Madden and the older generation of Irish poets such as Yeats and Shinni and introduces its discussion of Irish traditional culture and image such as Magic Fog. There is, first and foremost, a threshold that opens to the unknown, and the poetics that he has built is precisely the possibility of directing our political imagination to infinity.
