The authors observed the changes of blood T lymphocyte subsets in 28 COPD patients and 16 patients with pulmonary heart disease and compared them with 24 healthy people. The results showed that the CD 2 and CD 4 in COPD group and pulmonary heart disease group were significantly lower than those in control group CD_8 and CD_4 / CD_8 were not different from those in the control group, in which the CD_2 of pulmonary heart disease group was significantly lower than that of COPD group. The authors explored the causes of decreased total T cells and T helper cells in patients with COPD and cor pulmonale, as well as their effects on immune function, suggesting that reduced immune function due to changes in T lymphocyte subsets is an important factor in the pathogenesis of COPD and pulmonary heart disease.
