The European Branch of the International Society of Life Sciences is coordinating a European Commission (EC) Collective Action on Food Safety: Hazard Assessment of Chemicals in Food and Diet (FOSIE). It aims to establish a multidisciplinary European network to evaluate current knowledge in the field of risk assessment and to study the scientific basis for a new qualitative and quantitative assessment methodology.
