不同阶层有着互异的文化品位,在西周,严格教育熏陶出贵族阶级崇尚诗书,讲求礼乐的精致优雅的人文风貌。生活在春秋晚期的孔子将这种贵族气息引入思想学说的创建之中,由此开启一种具有贵族文化性格的文化体系。作为一个有创见性的思想家,孔子并非局限于对贵族行为、思想的逢迎上,孔子理论中具有一种春秋贵族未曾触及,但却又是溯源于贵族意识的独特思想,这就是:在修养主体上,他要求打破贵族阶级的垄断;在修养的方式上,他要求深入心性,实现精神超越,孔子这种思想实现了对原来的贵族文化的升华。在时代变迁的今天,讨论这一问题对当代文化建设具有启发作用。
