In November 2016, I made a special trip to Shanghai and paid a visit to Xia Xi-ping, a 100-year-old New Fourth Army female warrior. Her memory of the Anti-Japanese War was still very clear. Xia Xiping is a native of Changshou Village, Jiangyin County, Jiangsu Province. He was born on October 15, 1917. In 1937, when the all-out war of resistance broke out, the anti-Japanese sentiments of the people throughout the country were on the rise. Thousands of young people went to the Eighth Route Army under the leadership of the Communist Party and the New Fourth Army took part in the anti-Japanese war. Xia Xiping left the Shanghai Refugee Removal Team in 1938 and joined the New Fourth Army Teach Brigade (Anti-Japanese Military and Political University) female team 8 in Yunling, Anhui Province in August. After graduating from the Anti-Japanese Military and Political University, Xia Xiping and his comrades dispersed to all over the country
