四川简阳三号石棺上有“先人博”、“先人骑”画像。在汉代,“先人”为死去父亲或祖先的称谓,所以不能将“先人”直接等同于“仙人”。汉代对“先人”非常尊重和敬仰,其实和家族恩泽制有关。汉代人希望“先人”死后灵魂有知,庇佑子孙。“羽化升仙”是汉代人对死后灵魂皈依的最好归宿,这应该是四川简阳石棺画像中先人为羽人的原因所在。
