Objective To investigate the effect of continuation nursing intervention in discharged patients with PTCD tube. Methods Sixty patients discharged from a PTHC hospital in a top three hospital from May 2013 to May 2014 were randomly divided into control group and follow-up care group. The control group was followed up by phone and followed-up, and the nursing group continued to be discharged after the discharge Intervention. The incidences of complication and SAS scores were compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, SAS score of follow-up care group was (45.87 ± 5.52), which was significantly lower than that of control group (50.87 ± 7.22), the difference was statistically significant (t = 3.01, Catheter occlusion, peripheral skin infections and the incidence of abdominal infection was significantly lower than the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion Continuation of nursing can relieve anxiety after discharge, reduce complications and improve quality of life.
