桌上放着红苹果,让一群学生说出对它的想象,结果大多数没有受过艺术教育的学生只能说出不到10种答案,而经过艺术教育熏陶的学生,能充分展开想象的翅膀,引出了几十种“说法”;与此同时,越是年幼,对苹果的想象越是丰富,初中生就开始遭遇“瓶颈”,而高中生则觉得有些“不可思议”,苹果就只是“苹果”了——这是前不久某学校开展中学生科学知识测试的有趣答案。上月中旬,在北京召开的全国中小学科学教育论坛上,享有“科学泰斗”称号的中科院院士王绶琯就中学生学科学发表了自己的看法。他说,就科学教育来说,说给我听不如做给我看,做给我看不如让我亲身实践。只有当学生亲身参与了这样的活动,那些知识才能给他留下深刻印象,也才可能让他产生浓厚兴趣。而在取得了一定的知识后,对他才能产生一定的成就感。这种成就感可以大大增加学生们继续学习的信心和乐趣。当时,王老关于科学教育和如何点燃孩子科学想象的“灵感”的一席话,博得了与会者的热烈掌声。
