解构主义最大的特色是反理性、反逻辑和反权威并推崇大众狂欢。在后现代主义文化大背景下,解构思想对现代主义进行了批判和传承。昆汀·塔伦蒂诺将电影的暴力美学演绎到极致,将小成本电影拍成能够匹敌好莱坞样式的商业大片,离不开昆汀对解构主义的理解与实践。昆汀凭借电影独特的叙事结构,“暴躁”的叙事方式,将黑色幽默题材电影推上了一个新的台阶,伴随着固有观念的消解,反英雄典型的确立,结构主义分崩离析。
