After the outbreak of the war of resistance against Japan, Germany has been mediating between China and Japan. The reason why Germany actively mediates the conflict between China and Japan is based on its own strategic considerations. Because Germany hopes that Japan will attack the Soviet Union in the north and expose the Soviet Union to the unfavorable conditions of Japan and Germany. If Japan puts major forces into the Chinese battlefield and makes the Sino-Japanese war a long-term one, it will weaken Japan’s threat to the Soviet Union and Japan’s strategic value as an ally will be greatly reduced. In order to win international public opinion, Japan pushed the war responsibility toward China and cut off Germany’s aid to China. He hoped Germany would mediate the conflict between China and Japan because Japan and Germany signed the “Anti-Communist International Agreement” and that Germany’s mediation would benefit Japan.
