对与热带西太平洋暖池上空的对流活动对应的前期信号分析结果表明,夏季暖池对流强度与前期的暖池区域和赤道中东太平洋海温分别呈正、负相关,并与同期的菲律宾以西区域表面温度呈显著的负相关关系.对夏季不同月份暖池对流对应的海温进行了分析,表明6,7月的暖池对流存在暖池区和赤道中东太平洋的前期海温异常信号.尽管整个夏季平均的暖池对流存在前期海温异常信号,但只有初、仲夏(6,7月)的暖池对流存在前期海温异常信号,晚夏(8月)的暖池对流却没有.由此提出暖池、赤道中东太平洋和菲律宾以西之间在前期(前冬和春季)和同期可能存在不同的相互作用系统.
