加速棉花优质品种的繁殖和推广,建立优化的良种繁育体系,是优质棉基地建设科技服务的重要内容之一。建设优质棉基地县,开展科技服务的最终目的,是为了向国家提供更多的优质原棉,而良种又是生产优质原棉的种质基础,选用良种,抓好良种的繁育、保纯,实现大面积良种化,是生产优质原棉的关键。 80年代中期,我省科研单位在鄂沙28的选育取得突破性进展以后,又培育出产量和品质均优于鄂沙28的新品种鄂棉12和鄂荆1号。鄂棉12为湖北省农科院经作所选育而成,1985年9月由省品种审定委员会审定通过并命名,同时由省农牧业厅规定为全省推广品种。由于该品种对气候变化反应不太敏感,且丰产性较好,具有推广应用价值,适宜在鄂东南和鄂北地区水肥条件较好
Accelerating the breeding and promotion of high-quality cotton varieties and establishing an optimized breeding system for fine varieties are one of the important contents for the construction of high-quality cotton bases for science and technology services. The ultimate goal of building high-quality cotton-based counties and carrying out scientific and technological services is to provide the country with more high-quality raw cotton, which is the germplasm base for producing high-quality raw cotton. The area of fine variety, is the key to producing high-quality raw cotton. In the mid-1980s, after the scientific research unit of our province made a breakthrough in the breeding of E’sha 28, it bred new varieties of E’mian 12 and Jing-1, which were better than those of E’sha 28 in yield and quality. E cotton 12 Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences by the selected for breeding, in September 1985 by the provincial species validation committee approved and named, at the same time by the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry provisions for the promotion of varieties in the province. As the species is less sensitive to climate change and has good yield, it has the value of popularization and application, which is suitable for better water and fertilizer conditions in southeastern Hubei and northern Hubei
