一第一次见到王妹英是在《福满山》的研讨会上,这部长篇小说有些“横空出世”的意思,因为此前,我对于王妹英的创作并不熟悉,后来了解到她写得不少,早期有一篇《小土屋》,还有《冬日的阳光》《山地世家》,而且发表时她的年纪也就二十出头,只是我读之甚少,孤陋寡闻罢了。《福满山》是我读王妹英小说的第一部,这部小说的动人之处在于两点,我在那次研讨会上也表达了同样的感受,第一,陕西作家的长篇小说是颇见功力的,而且其提供的视野也是相当广阔的,其人物描写就我个人看,可代表中国农民形象的最为强烈最为鲜明的性格部分,就我的阅读视野,陕西作家获得茅盾文学奖的三部长篇小说,路遥《平凡的世界》,陈忠实的《白鹿原》,贾平凹的《秦腔》,其书写中国乡村变化的深度与广度
