Objective To investigate the damage of heart caused by acute poisoning of inhalation Dimethylsulfate (DMS). Methods The clinical manifestations, blood tests, myocardial enzymes, electrocardiogram (ECG), echocardiography and other data were collected from 26 cases of acute DMS inhalation. The changes of these indexes during the first admission, the discharge and the third and sixth years after discharge were analyzed. Results There were 5 cases of abnormal heart function, 9 cases of abnormal myocardial enzymes, 11 cases of abnormal electrocardiogram, and ultrasonography of heart: the ejection fraction (EF) values were in the normal range at the time of discharge. Each index returned to normal; after 3 years and 6 years to do a health check, all cardiac indicators were normal, no abnormal cases. Conclusions The clinical symptomatic and supportive treatment of mild and moderate acute DMS inhalation, the recovery of acute cardiotoxicity lesions can return to normal, without leaving sequelae.
