The concept, advantages and manufacturing methods of working substance of composite structure in solid laser are introduced. A detailed summary of the size and size of each method and the degree of improvement applied to laser performance in solid-state lasers is given. The research history and current status of composite structure working substance and composite structure laser are summarized. The application of Yb: Y3Al5O12 crystal composite structure in solid state laser is summarized. Finally, it points out the future direction of the working substance of composite structure.
