沂源队钻工张玉福同志仿照苏联深井测斜方法试制了每次可以节约一次升降钻具的测量钻孔弯曲度的方法。该方法是利用一特制保护器接在岩心管异径接头下面进行的。保护器构造如下图:(1)保护器外套(分上中下三段);(2)特制胶塞;(3)锌片;(4)玻璃瓶(装有氟氢酸);(5)橡皮塞或湿棉球。测量方法:系先将使用的岩心管下入孔内,其上端用夹板夹住,卸掉岩心管接头,在老虎钳上把岩心管接头与保护器拧在一起(岩心管接头下端与保护器上端车成相符的公母扣)。然后再与岩心管相接,接上钻杆,降至欲测井深,停留一定时间,氟氢酸即在玻璃瓶上刻有印痕,因氟氢酸与锌片相作用,即将锌片蚀透,氟氢酸溶液沿胶塞小孔漏入保护器下部,玻璃瓶即行干涸,此时即可进行钻进,待钻到一定回次进尺长度后,再行提钻,因此,可减少一次升降钻具时间,从而可提高时间利用率,在深孔中收效尤为显著。
