江泽民总书记提出的“三个代表”重要思想，核心就在于代表最广大人民群众的根本利益。代表人民，就要求我们的官员少一点“官气”。然而今天人民群众最看不惯却又看得最多的，正是那些打着共产党旗号的官老爷们——他们官不大可架子不小，水平不高可享受的待遇不低，趾高气?
The core of the important thinking of the ’Three Represents’ put forward by General Secretary Jiang Zemin lies in representing the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the people. To represent the people requires that our officials should be less “official.” However, the most unacceptable and yet most visible feature of the people today is precisely those officials who are under the banner of the Communist Party. They are not very good at what they can afford and are not low-paid. ?
