杭州湾的地貌发育过程中具有沙坎区、潮流槽脊区、平缓堆积区三种特征分区.杭州湾的沉积界面具有高度的活动性.本文引用沉积界面活动层和混合系数,作为描述和分析各区沉积界面动态特征的定量指标.根据地形时序过程和~(210)Pb放射性比度在沉积剖面中分布的推算,年周期波动的活动层为0.1—4m,多年波动的活动层为0.5—8m,并由沙坎区往湾口逐渐减小;混合系数从沙坎区的10~(-3)cm/s、潮流槽脊区10~(-4)cm~2/s至平缓堆积区10~(-5)cm~2/s量级,也向湾口逐渐降低,比湾外的长江水下三角洲高出1—3个数量级.
