传统象征美学的基本精神是对意义深度模式的确信、建构与追问。但后现代主义对不确定性和多元主义立场的反复申说,使它在哲学、美学、诗学和具体的文化艺术实践等方面,对这种深度模式表现出激烈的反对态度,拒绝了一元论的和形而上学的意义观,即放逐了深层意义而踏上平面化之旅。但是,由于人类精神生存的本质,传统象征美学那种对意义追问的执着,并不会轻易地消逝或被否定,象征仍将并且应该为人类提供意义支撑的广袤空间。
The basic spirit of the traditional symbolic aesthetics is the confirmation, construction and questioning of the depth of meaning pattern. However, postmodernist repeated claims on uncertainty and pluralism have given it a fierce opposition to this model of depth in terms of philosophy, aesthetics, poetics and concrete cultural and artistic practices, and rejected the monism Metaphysical sense of meaning, that is, expelling the deeper meaning and embark on a journey of planarization. However, due to the nature of human spiritual existence, the obsession with traditional symbolic aesthetics of meaning does not easily disappear or be denied, which represents a vast space that will and should provide meaning to humankind.
