在我国20世纪中期,光纤通信技术已经有了一定的研究发展,并且也取得了一定的成效。在现阶段,光纤通信设备已经在国内的网络建设当中是不可或缺的系统了,它不仅可以满足服务需要,也可以在国际通信网络占有一席之位,并且成为高科技领域的重点工程,与国际水平相比,具有很小的差距。在一些业内人士当中,很多人都关心光纤通信技术现如今处于何种级别,是否还存在发展空间,对此,文章主要针对我国的光纤技术在城域网以及核心网等网络当中应用和技术,以及对未来的发展进行研究,与此同时,要特别提出,由于光纤通信技术具有一定的未来发展,所以必须要根据现状,从光纤通信的各个方面着手,把光纤和光缆技术作为重要的发展趋势。
