1972年6月,在学习了兄弟单位先进经验的基础上,结合我厂具体情况,对三节炉进行了大胆革新。经过多次“实践、认识、再实践、再认识”,试制成功了结构简单、操作方便、耗焦量低、造价低廉,并能用当地土焦的热风多排小风口卡腰冲天炉。改革后的炉子焦铁比大大提高,层焦比达1:18,铁水温度稳定在1400℃左右,熔化率为2吨/时。采用多排小风口后,送风均匀;减少炉内死角;炉衬腐蚀减少(一般在20毫米左右);修补容易,元素烧损较少。炉子结构见下图。
