Lightguide Hg_ (1-x) Cd_xTe IR detectors are low impedance devices (<1000Ω) that require low voltage bias power. For example, the commonly used detector has a working resistor of 130 ohms at 77K, and the optimum current provided by the manufacturer is 1 milliampere. Therefore the bias voltage across the detector is 130 millivolts. If the load is matched (in order to get the best power conversion), you need 260 millivolt supply voltage. Offset can be constant current source or constant voltage source; but for simplicity and low noise, it is best to use the battery pack as a bias source. The circuit in Figure 1 is a general bias method consisting of a single cell and a load resistor R_L. Because of the exploration
