The article introduces the principle of laser scanning locator and its signal processing method. The instrument uses a piezoelectric ceramic scanner PZTA to generate laser scanning lines. The two-quadrant phototube receives the laser light. The photocurrent is introduced into the single-chip microcomputer for processing. The digital deviation value is displayed. The positioning length is greater than 3m and the sensitivity is better than 25μm with a linear range of ± 1. 5mm, non-linear error of 0.6%.
