涂国士同志是四川省江津县人,生于1919年。1942年毕业于重庆国立药学专科学校,1945～1950年留学英国,先在诺丁汉大学药学系学习,获得伦敦大学药学士学位,并在化学系学习,获得理学士学位,后在格拉斯哥皇家技术学院攻读,获得硕士学位。1949年中华人民共和国成立后,涂国士同志出于对中国共产党和新中国的热爱,于1950年底回归祖国,来到卫生部药物食品检验所,先后担
