关于当前腐败现象的根源问题，理论界有以下几种主要观点。剥削根源论：腐败现象根源于社会上所存在的残缺的剥削制度、剥削阶级、剥削思想；体制转型根源论：计划经济体制向市场经济体制转变过程中社会失序导致腐败泛滥；权力异化根源论：社会主义国家同样存在着的公共权力所有权与行使权相分离状况使权力异化仍不可免；思想观念根源论：腐败根源于思想蜕化变质；需求驱动根源论：腐败是掌权者利益需求与利益实现手段之间矛盾运动的产物；综合根源论：权力失控，利益关系混乱，转型时期社会震荡，消极的文化诱导，主体价值观念偏误
