通过对新菏线煤炭的来源、流向及通路情况资料的分析，对新菏线煤炭分流提出了四点建议：发挥最佳通路作用；充分为陇海、京广、京沪线分流；协调菏泽南、虞城县分界口交出煤炭的关系；京九、侯月线通车后的分流。同时，提出了提高新菏线运输能力的三点设想：提高列车牵引重量；提高区间通过能力；修建新菏、兖菏、兖石复线。
Based on the analysis of the source, flow and access information of the coal in the new He line, four suggestions are put forward on the coal diversion in the new He line: to play the role of the best route; to fully divert the flow of Longhai, Beijing-Guangzhou and Beijing-Shanghai lines; to coordinate Heze South, Yucheng County boundary to hand over the coal relations; Beijing-Kowloon, Hou Yue-line after the opening of the diversion. At the same time, put forward three ideas to improve the transport capacity of the new He line: to improve the train traction weight; to improve the capacity of the interval; the construction of new He, Yan He, Yanshi double line.
