会理岔河锡矿床位于川滇经向构造北段次一级南北构造带内,产于晋宁晚期(829×10~6年)摩沙营黑云母花岗岩侵入体边缘的内外接触带中。矿化面积较大,矿化类型较多,随着距离花岗岩体的远近,由岩体边缘的内接触带到外接触带,依次出现锡石——云英岩型、锡石——矽卡岩型、锡石——硫化物型等不同矿化类型。矿床规模较大,矿石含锡品位较高,并含有多种可供综合利用的稀散元素,工业意大较大。
