In this paper, epidermal growth factor (EGF) as an indicator of renal damage and renal tubular regeneration to understand the ability to repair, observed 25 cases of neonatal asphyxia neonatal EGF concentration changes, the results show that asphyxia newborns widespread renal damage, and with Asphyxia exacerbated and aggravated, peaked on the third day, the majority of quickly returned to normal within 1 week, but severe asphyxia 5 minutes still can not be recovered to 1 week. Therefore, the determination of urinary EGF concentration is a valuable indicator to determine the extent of neonatal renal injury and progress of asphyxia and the ability of wound repair.
