Background: Given the high infant measles mortality rate, it is considered whether inoculation at <12 months of age provides lasting immunity. Methods: A total of 70 children were immunized with measles at 6, 9, or 12 months of age and measles specific immune responses were evaluated at 5 to 10 years of age.
