地球内部物质的运移,以及它们弹性性质、密度的变化,都会引起固体潮观测值改变。反之,由固体潮观测值可以推断地球内部物质的上述变化,从而取得地震预报的依据。可靠的地震预报是建立在多台站的实时数据处理的基础上的。如果总是用手工处理,则难以及时取得区域性的地球内部的信息。由于数字磁带可直接提交计算机处理,在地震固体潮研究中应用磁带记录是非常必要的。当然,撇开地震预报,就固体潮研究本身,采用磁带记录也有省工、省时、精确等优点。因此,在一些先进的固体潮观测仪器上,磁带记录与可见的曲线记录构成两套并行的系统。
Earth’s internal material migration, and their elastic properties, density changes, will lead to changes in tide observations. On the contrary, the observation of solid tide can infer the above-mentioned changes of the Earth’s internal matter, and thus obtain the basis of earthquake prediction. Reliable earthquake prediction is based on real-time data processing at multiple stations. If it is always handled by hand, it is difficult to obtain information on the regional interior of the Earth in time. Since digital tapes can be submitted directly to computer for processing, it is necessary to apply tape recording in the study of seismic solid tide. Of course, apart from earthquake prediction, the study of solid tide itself uses tape recording as well as labor-saving, time-saving and precise advantages. As a result, tape recording and visible curve recording constitute two parallel systems on some advanced tide gauges.
