Objective To investigate the changes of total antioxidant capacity (T AOC), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and malondialdehyde (MDA) in plasma and wound tissues after firearm wounds in Ping-wart period in the high altitude and alpine region. Methods Twenty - four experimental pigs were randomly divided into three groups: the wounded group (GZ), the normal group (GP) and the plain group (8), which were injured in different environments. T AOC, SOD and MDA were measured quantitatively in the venous blood and injured muscle tissues at different time points before and after injury respectively. Results ① The levels of plasma and wound tissue in the plain group were decreased continuously after T AOC injury and decreased to the lowest point at 1 ~ 2 d after injury, then gradually increased. SOD and MDA increased after 30 min to 2 h after injury, Reached the highest point at 6h, then gradually decreased, 3d in the tissue returned to a lower level, 5d plasma returned to normal levels. ② The changes of T AOC, SOD and MDA in the plasma and wound tissue in the normal plateau group were similar to those in the plain group, but the changes ranged in length and continued for a long time. (3) T AOC in plasma and wound tissue were significantly lower than those in normal group at high altitude in wartime group, while the levels of SOD and MDA were significantly increased, the extent of increase or decrease of each index was significantly higher In the usual plateau group, the peak appeared earlier. Conclusion The damage of whole body and local wound tissue after pig-limb gunshot wounds in the high-altitude wartime environment was heavier than that in the normal plateau group, while the injury in the normal plateau group was heavier than that in plain group.
