Sandstone-type uranium deposits in Niger are found in the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic continental depositional basins to the west of the Ayere Mountains. The origin of uranium has not been determined in the past. Geochemical and fission track studies of two acid-limestone ring complexes in the two over-alkali affinity rhyolites located in the Paleozoic non-orogenic center.
