华裔女作家谭恩美的《接骨师之女》这部小说,可从后殖民批评中的文化身份以及话语批评角度进行观照与分析。茹灵与露丝分别展现了华裔移民文化身份的断裂感受以及身份追寻历程。祖孙三代女性是“失语的东方”的象征;露丝决定创作则是主动言说,也暗示东方的自我意识觉醒与主动要求发声。寻根与发声相辅相成,作者叙述话语及立场的复杂表明所有的话语都是“被给定的”。
Chinese novelist Amy Tan’s The Female of the Bonesetter can be viewed and analyzed from the perspective of cultural identity and discourse criticism in post-colonialist criticism.
